The Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino is the hub of Tableau Conference 2017.

Government, education, or nonprofit Tableau customer? You receive $500 off your registration using a code provided by your sales representative (must have valid .gov, .edu, or .org email address to qualify).

Will the event be filmed and photographed?

Yes. By entering and being at this event, you consent to be filmed and photographed. From time to time, Tableau uses recorded video and photographs of conference events and attendees in its promotional materials. Unless permission to record and use such images is revoked in writing to Tableau, by virtue of your attendance, you agree to the use of your likeness in such materials. All videography and photography will be done in reliance on the consent you give by entering the event.

How do I register for Training Workshops?

Add a Training Workshop via the registration portal here. If you've already registered you may sign in, add your desired Training Workshop, and pay via credit card. If you have questions please email the Tableau Conference Operations team.

I received a discount code. How do I apply it to my registration?

On the Promo page of the registration process, enter your code into the “Promo Code” field and click the Continue button. Your discounted total will appear on the Review page before you submit your payment.

Can I use more than one promotional code (if applicable)?

Sorry, only one code may be used per attendee.

Are there scholarships available?

Not at this time. However, government, nonprofit, and education customers get a $500 discount off the full conference price using the following codes (which do not expire):

What methods can I use to pay?

How will my credit card payment appear on my statement?

Conference fees for Tableau Conference 2017 will show up on your credit card statement as TABLEAU SOFTWARE INC.

How do I request a copy of my receipt?

For an additional copy of your receipt, simply email the Tableau Conference Operations team with your request.

What is the payment policy?

Tableau accepts all major credit cards at time of registration. For all tickets purchased via purchase orders and wire transfers, payment is due thirty (30) days from the date of registration. All purchase orders are due within forty-eight (48) hours of registration. If your payment is past due, Tableau reserves the right to cancel your purchase at any time upon notice to you. All payment for conference tickets must be received by the start date of the event.

Can you help me convince my boss to pay for me to go to Tableau Conference?

Yes, use the Justification Letter. It has all the information you need to demonstrate the value of the conference. You can use it as-is or customize it for your needs.

Are attendee substitutions allowed? If so, how do I do this?

Conference tickets may be transferred between attendees from the same organization. Contact your salesperson or the Tableau Conference Operations team who can assist in transferring tickets.

May I bring a guest?

Absolutely – the more the merrier! You can purchase a Guest Pass during the registration process for $250 that covers admittance to the Welcome Reception (Monday, October 9) and Data Night Out appreciation party (Wednesday, October 11), which both include food and beverages. Please note: a Guest Pass is only valid for access to parties. It is not valid for admittance to any other conference-related activities.


Housing

Are there TC17 hotels available to book?

There are special conference rates available to attendees at the Mandalay Bay and sister properties. A link to our event hotel booking page will be provided upon completion of your registration. Room rates range between $208 - $258 per night.

Is there a deposit required to hold my hotel room?

You’ll need to provide a deposit for the first night’s room and tax. This will be charged to your card immediately. If plans change, you can cancel up to 48 hours prior to your arrival date for a full refund. If the hotel is unable to take the first night's room and tax deposit a courtesy email will be sent. You will then have 24 hours to submit a new, valid form of payment to avoid cancellation of your reservation.

Will I receive a hotel confirmation number after booking my hotel?

You will receive a hotel confirmation email within one (1) business day of completing your hotel reservation.

What if I don’t check in on my scheduled arrival date?

If you don’t check in on your scheduled arrival date the hotel will cancel your entire reservation. Reinstating a No-Show reservation will be subject to hotel availability and not guaranteed. Additionally, there will be a penalty charge of one (1) night’s room rate plus applicable tax, regardless of whether or not the reservation has been reinstated.

Can I pay the hotel with a different credit card than the one I provided when I reserved the room?

For security purposes, the card used for hotel payment must be presented at hotel check-in, and must match the name on the reservation and guest's photo ID. You may present a different credit card at check in for hotel payment. If a third party is paying for your reservation, a credit card authorization form will be required, and can be faxed directly to the hotel. Please contact your hotel directly to request a credit card authorization form.

How can I find out where my hotel is located?

The addresses of all hotels are provided during the online hotel reservation process. You will also receive a confirmation via email.


Cancellations & Substitutions

What is the conference cancellation policy?

Cancellations made over 90 days from the event (July 11, 2017) will be refunded the paid registration fee minus $100. Cancellations made between 45 days and 90 days from the event (July 11, 2017 - August 25, 2017) will be refunded the paid registration fee minus $500. Cancellations made 45 days or less from the event are not eligible for any refunds. Read more here.
If the conference is cancelled, Tableau Software will refund the full registration fee within 90 days of cancellation. Tableau Software is not responsible for airfare, hotel, or other costs. Conference cancellation requests should be emailed to theTableau Conference Operations team.

How do I cancel my hotel room?

A deposit of the first night room and tax will be charged to your credit card immediately. Please cancel 48 hours prior to arrival for a full refund of first night room and tax. Reservations canceled within 48 hours of arrival are subject to a penalty of first night room and tax.
You have the option to change your check-out date at the time of check-in or before without being charged an early departure assessment. In the event you decide to check out prior to your confirmed departure (provided at the time of check-in), you will be charged in the amount equal to the applicable rate and taxes you were quoted for the night of departure only.

Can I substitute a colleague if I can no longer attend?

If you are unable to attend the Tableau Conference, you may transfer your registration to another person. Please submit your transfer requests to the Tableau Conference Operations team. If you had a hotel reservation be sure to contact the hotel directly to cancel or transfer the booking.

If I cancel my conference registration, is my Tableau discounted hotel reservation cancelled as well?

No, you must contact the hotel directly to cancel your reservation.
